Igor B. Tomskiy
Professor, Counsellor to Rector, conducts classes of Composition for Junior and Senior Students at the Glass Degree Program.
Graduated from the Department in 1991. Works in the Department since 1992. Head of Department of Ceramics and Glass from 2004 till 2013. 2013-2015 councellor of the rector of Academy.
Member of the Russian Union of Artists since 1992. Since 1991 works as an artist of the Vosstanie glass factory in Chudovo, Novgorod region. Since 1993 works as a chief artist of Pobeda glass factory in Kolpino, Leningrad region. Since 1997 co-owner of Krasny Luch glass factory in Pskov region.
The works are represented in the following collections: Ministry of Culture of Russia; The Central Exhibition Hall “Manege”, Moscow; International Confederation of the Artists’ Union in Moscow; The Museum of Decorative and Applied Art, Moscow; The All-Russian Museum of Glass of the Elagin Island Palace- Museum of Russian Decorative and Applied Art, St. Petersburg.; The Museum of Fine Arts in Tomsk; The Museum of Fine Arts in Oryol; The Hungarian Association of Glass Artists in Budapest; private collections in Russian and abroad.
Participates in international exhibitions since 1988. Makes author’s series of decorative glass under “Tomskiy” trademark since 1997 аnd “Brutuli” trademark since 2017.
