General Provisions
St. Petersburg Stieglitz State Academy of Art and Design trains bachelors, specialists and masters on the state budget and contract (with tuition paid) basis. Training of specialists is carried out at the two departments full-time only (except for the specialization “Arts and Humanities”, which allows extramural studies).

Admission Procedure requirements :
For the qualification degree “Specialist”, “Bachelor”:
– Russian language and literature*
– Composition – 6.5 hours (3 jobs)
– Drawing – 12 hours (2 jobs);
– Painting – 12 hours (1 job)
For the qualification degree “Master”:
– Interview
– Composition – 6.5 hours (3 jobs);
– Drawing – 12 hours (2 jobs);
– Painting – 12 hours (1 job);
Duration of “Specialist” training program is 6 years, “Bachelor” program is 4 years and “Master” program is 2 years.
Admissions to the contract form of training are on the 10th of August.
Examinations are evaluated by a 100-point scale system.
Examinations are taken in Russian language.
Submission of documents in digital format is not acceptable.
Submission of documents is carried out from June 19th to July 10th.
Entrance examinations are held from the 12th to 25th July.

*Foreign applicants, as well as foreign students of the preparatory department, pass Russian language and Literature in the form of a test.
The Academy affiliated paid preparatory courses are open: telephone: +7 (812) 273-50-83. Duration of study depends on the level of training and can be one-or two-year. It is possible to join courses throughout the training period.
Training at entry preparation courses is carried out on a contract basis.
For non-resident applicants and students of the Academy there is a hostel.
All decisions related to the admission process are taken by the Academy Admissions Committee in accordance with the law of the Russian Federation in the field of education.
